When a local office building located in Lake Worth was having issues with secluding their conference room from the rest of the building, they turned to Soundproofing Accordion Doors, a division of All Noise Control.
They approached us with a set list of specs and questions that our team was effectively ready to analyze and respond to. The staff had requested a solution that would be both moveable and sturdy. They had also asked if there was an option for secluding their conference room that would not disrupt the aesthetic of the office, but contribute to it – something sleek, modern and professional.
Our team recommended an Accordion Door with an STC of 40. We explained that STC stood for “Sound Transmission Control” and that the higher the STC, the better the product would be at absorbing and/or blocking sound. We configured that an STC of 40 would be appropriate for an office setting that consisted of a decent amount of “chatter,” phones ringing, copy machines and other productive sound.
Upon installation, the staff of the office was extremely satisfied with how immediately sound between the office and conference room was reduced, as this increased the effectiveness of conferences held within the room, thanks to a reduction in sound-based distractions.
